[applause] it was testimony, yes, to those who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice, but memorials are built for the future. memorials are billed for the next generation and the next generation. they are billed to remind us and to recognize the great virtues nobleness ofthe man. of course, it's a high privilege to be here with two for relations chairmen. between them, i believe 62 years of service on the foreign relations committee, and you add to that vice-president biden's service, the three of them represent about 100 years of service. that is a rather significant amount of time and a significant contribution to this country. for all the reasons you have heard tonight from these two gentleman to my former colleagues, some were here tonight, to new members of the foreign relations committee that i did not hav
